Planchas and hot plates are becoming increasingly popular in Europe, as they enable versatile and sociable grilling on hot iron. Originally from Spain and France, the plancha has been celebrating a comeback for some time now. The major barbecue brands have also expanded their product range to include planchas, thereby promoting a new barbecue culture.
With the impulse event “Planchamania”, FIRE&FOOD will bring together the leading grill, plancha and fire plate brands on the Spanish island of Mallorca on March 22, 2026 to present the variety and trends around planchas and fire plates. The event will take place at Motorworld Mallorca. Around 500 guests are invited, including influencers, international press and barbecue enthusiasts.
