World premiere 2027: fairytale magic reignited

With RAPUNZEL – The Fairytale Musical, the popular fairytale classic comes to life again in 2027 and celebrates its glamorous world premiere. The audience can expect an unforgettable live experience that tells of the dream of freedom and takes them into a fascinating fairytale world between magic and mystery.

The magic of a classic retold

The timeless story of Rapunzel, her magical hair and the tower far from the world, based on the Brothers Grimm, is told with new, surprising twists and turns and musically reinterpreted with a rousing soundtrack by the award-winning author duo Marc Schubring (“Emil und die Detektive” and “Gefährliche Liebschaften”) and Kevin Schroeder (“Fack Ju Göhte”, German translator of “Hercules” and “Hamilton”, among others).

The spectacular production by renowned director and co-author Christoph Drewitz (“Ku’Damm 56”) transports the audience into a magical world brought to life by breathtaking sets, colorful costumes and imaginative hairstyles. This rousing stage adventure about freedom, love and self-determination combines music, humor and heart – and appeals to audiences of all ages.
