Bentley “dekLart Edition” goes
on MOTORWORLD tour
Bentley Continental GT3-R designed by artist is exhibited in Cologne and Böblingen
Berlin, March 16, 2020. In the next few months, visitors to Motorworld can look forward to seeing not only a particularly luxurious and exquisite coupé, but also a true work of art on four wheels. The spray art artist Dennis Klapschus has immortalised himself on a 580 horsepower Bentley Continental GT3-R and transformed it into an “Art Car”. The moving work of art can be seen in the Motorworld Köln-Rheinland until 19 April. From 26 April, visitors can marvel at the extravagant Bentley in the Motorworld Region Stuttgart.
Only a small series of just 300 units of this exquisite vehicle, one of the most luxurious coupés on the market, was built. The Bentley designed by dekLart – the artist’s pseudonym (Dennis Klapschus Art) – is a one-off.
As in his pictures, which are popular with celebrities, the artist from Essen has also brought the comic heroes of his childhood to life in graffiti style on the Bentley. The colourful motifs, among them Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Bugs Bunny, were applied to the black bodywork as a film. With its 580 horsepower, 4 litre V8 bi-turbo engine, the limited edition GT3-R is based on the GT3 racing car, with which the British VW subsidiary has already celebrated success in long-distance races. However, its fittings with high-quality leather, Alcantara upholstery, air suspension and handmade carbon parts are far more luxurious.
Incidentally, this exceptional luxury vehicle, which was registered in August 2015 and has just 9,700 kilometres on the clock, is on sale and could turn out to be a bargain. When it was launched to market, the Bentley Continental GT3-R cost at least 282,625 euros, whereas this unique specimen from the dekLart edition is currently being advertised for 179,000 euros.
About the MOTORWORLD Group
The independent MOTORWORLD Group emerged from the DÜNKEL Holding corporate group based in Schemmerhofen (Baden-Württemberg, Germany). The origins of the family-run company go back to 1933. The Motorworld Group develops, builds and operates experience worlds that are dedicated to mobile passion.
The first location was Motorworld Region Stuttgart in Böblingen, which opened in 2009 and has since been expanded several times, winning several awards along the way. Further projects and activities under the MOTORWORLD® brand have been initiated in recent years. Following on with the same concept as Motorworld Region Stuttgart, Motorworld Köln-Rheinland opened in June 2018. Other locations in planning and construction, as well as those already partially active, are Motorworld München, Motorworld Ewald-Ruhr, Motorworld Mallorca in Spain and Motorworld Luxembourg. Following the concept of the MOTORWORLD manufactories, construction is underway in Berlin, Metzingen, Rüsselsheim and Zurich in Switzerland. These locations are also already partially active.
The Motorworld idea also regularly goes on tour, including to the annual classic car trade fairs Motorworld Classics Berlin and Motorworld Classics Bodensee in Friedrichshafen, to scene events such as the Motorworld Oldtimertage at Fürstenfeld (near Munich), as well as in numerous other guises. A highlight took place in Frankfurt in September 2019: The IAA Heritage by MOTORWORLD as part of the IAA.
