Motorworld Oldtimertage Fürstenfeld –
Classic cars against an impressive backdrop

Passion for classic vehicles and fantastic encounters at a unique location: At the Oldtimertage Fürstenfeld on September 19-20, 2020, the classic car scene will come together for the 16th time against the impressive backdrop of Fürstenfeld Monastery. The event, which has meanwhile made a name for itself far beyond Bavaria’s borders, has a lot to offer this year as well: Special displays celebrating ” 50 Years Alfa Romeo Montreal ” and “90 Years Pininfarina”, the Concorso Sportivo, the Fürstenfeld Classic Motorrad Tour and the 80’s Ensemble, to name just a few of the highlights.

The Motorworld Oldtimertage Fürstenfeld will begin on September 19 parallel to the traditional opening ceremony at the Oktoberfest. More than 12,000 classic car enthusiasts and 140 exhibitors are expected to return to the grounds covering 32,000 square metres of Fürstenfeld Monastery, which is situated just outside Munich. The heart of the event is the classic car meeting on the Amperwiese grass area with over 1,200 vehicles from different eras.

The special display “50 Years’ Alfa Romeo Montreal” on the Waaghäuslwiese grass area in front of the monastery should be a real treat for classic car fans. To celebrate the Italian sports coupé in a befitting manner, around ten vehicles from the past decades will be on show. Just a few metres away in the Stadtsaalhof courtyard, another birthday car will be at the centre of attention: Pininfarina – body maker and creator of some of the world’s most legendary automobile designs. Numerous models from the company’s history will be on display to mark the 90th anniversary of the Italian design studio.

The get-together on the monastery grounds is a magnet for all lovers of older car generations as well as for numerous classic car clubs, which are offered a perfect opportunity at the Oldtimertage Fürstenfeld to recruit new members and share experiences and thoughts.

But it is not just classic car enthusiasts who will get their money’s worth at the Motorworld Oldtimertage Fürstenfeld. The event is also a popular destination for family excursions. It is split up into four different areas: the CLASSIC trade fair, the LIFE! lifestyle area, the club area, and the ARTISAN parts market. Alongside matchless vehicles, arts and crafts, fashion and much more besides, there is a supporting programme for young and old alike with classic car rides, adventure guided tours, and a children’s steam train.

Concorso Sportivo for elegant sport cars

“Fast and Elegant” is the motto of the 4th Concorso Sportivo, which will be taking place on September 20 as part of the Motorworld Oldtimertage Fürstenfeld. The competition is dedicated to vehicles built exclusively for homologation and sporting purposes. Participating cars must have competed in a race or rally. These include not only racing cars, but also GTs, convertibles or limousines that were built for sporting purposes. Preference is given to vehicles with special bodywork. Further details and applications can be found at www.concorso-sportivo.com.

Fürstenfeld Classic Motorrad Tour: Cruising with classic bikes

A highlight for all two-wheeler fans is the Fürstenfelder Classic Motorrad Tour on Saturday, September 19. Following the successful premiere last year with truly rare specimens such as a 1910 Clyno motorcycle combination, the second edition of the Classic Motorcycle Tour will be taking place in September. It starts from the church forecourt at 10 a.m. The 100-kilometre-long route runs through the districts of Fürstenfeldbruck, Dachau and Aichach-Friedberg around the idyllic Wittelsbacher and Sissi countryside. The classic motorcycles return to Fürstenfeld Monastery in the afternoon. Eligible for participation are pre-war motorcycles and motorcycle combinations that were built no later than in 1939.

80’s Ensemble: Competition for young drivers

Also taking place this year for the second time is the 80’s Ensemble – a truly special kind of concours. The purpose of this exceptional competition is to offer young cars and drivers a chance to participate in a concours. The participation requirement: The total ages of the vehicle and the driver cannot total more than 80 years. Applications with a photograph of the car, together with its date of first registration and the driver’s date of birth, can be sent to info@classics-for-charity.com. The closing date is July 30, 2020. A committee will then select the participants who will be able to show off their vehicles on Saturday, September 19.
