“IAA Heritage by MOTORWORLD”
Classic automobiles in pole position
Frankfurt/Schemmerhofen, August 29, 2019. On September 12-22, 2019, the “IAA Heritage by Motorworld” at the IAA Cars 2019 in Frankfurt will be shining the spotlight on classic automobiles. Visitors to Hall 4.0 can experience exclusive classic cars, classics-to-be, sports cars, and many other attractions that all have something to do with the world’s rustiest hobby.
With the “IAA Heritage by Motorworld”, which will be taking place for the first time this year, Motorworld will transform Hall 4.0 into a world of classic mobility. Premium classic cars, classic sports cars, classics-to-be, limited editions and classic motorcycles can all be found on the international trading floor at the heart of the IAA. Also present will be providers from the fields of restoration and care, spare parts and accessories, lifestyle and art.
Premium quality classics, sports cars, supercars, exotic vehicles and electric cars
Mercedes enthusiasts can look forward to various premium suppliers, among them Arthur Bechtel Classic Motors (Booth C38), who will be bringing, among other cars, a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL gullwing, or BRABUS Classic (Booth A31) with a superbly restored Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster. Kienle Automobiltechnik (Booth C24) will also be displaying a selection from the current sales range, including top-of-the-range classic models from Mercedes-Benz and other brands. Autohaus Hans Saturski will be at the joint booth as well, exhibiting exclusive vehicles of various brands, among them a Ford GT40.
The display of exceptional exhibits continues with Potomac Classics (Booth C27) and BOCKEMÜHL Classic-Cars (Booth 03). The latter will be bringing along an extremely rare Jaguar Kougar Sport Special from 1970. Potomac Classics, the specialist for exotic vehicles, will be presenting, among others, an Amphicar 770 from the 1960s and a 1921 GN Cycle Car. Gassmann (Booth A30) also specialises in automotive rarities. Highlights will be a Jaguar XK 140 SE and an extremely rare Horch 853 Special Roadster. MW Sportive (Booth A38) will be showcasing exotic cars and sports cars from Porsche, Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz, Brabus, BMW and Wiesmann. The Technik Museum Sinsheim (Booth A45) will also be in attendance. In keeping with the launch of the book “American Dream Cars”, which was produced for the exhibition of the same name, the museum will be presenting an exceptional 300 horsepower hot rod, a 1930 Ford Model A with a Chevrolet V8 engine. eKäfer (Booth B05) bridges the gap between the past and the future of mobility in the truest sense of the word: The company equips traditional VW Beetles with state-of-the-art technology of electric vehicles.
Motorworld joint booth: Colourful diversity of classic mobility
The Motorworld Group will also be represented with a large joint booth (Booth D05). Visitors can inform themselves here about the various locations and projects. Alongside Motorworld, several partners will be presenting themselves at the joint booth. One crowd-puller will be the Swiss company Microlino, which will be showing its modern electric version of a 1950s’ bubble car. Opel tuner BITTER Automotive can also be found here, while Rosier Classic Sterne will be represented as the largest Mercedes-Benz Classic Center in Northern Germany. Sports car fans will find what they are looking for at Scuderia Sportiva Colonia. This year, the automobile specialist will be bringing along a 1969 De Tomaso Mangusta. Roock Autosport, a full service provider and Porsche specialist, will also be at the booth. It is the German partner of Automobile Club de l´Ouest, which organises the Le Mans 24-hour race and will also be present.
In the field of restoration and care, the motor oil supplier MOTUL and start-up company Retromotion, which not only supplies and scouts for spare parts, but also has parts re-manufactured as required using traditional manufacturing processes or 3D printing, will be there as well.
In keeping with the style of classic cars, lifestyle brands will also have a place on the joint booth. These include the stylish child safety seats from Greg & Greta, the fashion and lifestyle brand Embawo, which will be presenting their unusual wooden bags, and the fashion brand Seyfarth Modedesign, which specialises in the style of the 1920s to 1950s.
With umbrella, charm and shoe shiner
Various artists and the hall decoration in the look of the good old days perfectly embellish the journey back through time at the “IAA Heritage by Motorworld”. For example, “Die Herr’n von der Tankstelle” and an organ grinder will be bringing the golden years back to life with well-known songs and lots of charm. The Motorworld Group team will also be attired in contemporary dress, while visitors or exhibitors who turn up in the look of the good old days will have the chance to win a prize for the best outfit. And a shoe shiner will be polishing dusty shoes for a good cause, with the proceeds going to the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation.

About the MOTORWORLD Group
The independent MOTORWORLD Group emerged from the DÜNKEL Holding corporate group based in Schemmerhofen (Baden-Württemberg, Germany). The origins of the family-run company go back to 1933. The Motorworld Group develops, builds and operates experience worlds that are dedicated to mobile passion.
The first location was Motorworld Region Stuttgart in Böblingen, which opened in 2009 and has since been expanded several times, winning several awards along the way. Further projects and activities under the MOTORWORLD® brand have been initiated in recent years. Following on with the same concept as Motorworld Region Stuttgart, Motorworld Köln-Rheinland opened in June 2018. Two further locations are currently under development: Motorworld München and Motorworld Zeche Ewald-Ruhr, Herten. The starting signal for the construction of Motorworld Mallorca is due to be given shortly.
The portfolio will be complemented by the Motorworld Manufaktur locations in Berlin, Metzingen, Rüsselsheim and Zurich. As their names suggest, the space for mobile passion at these locations will focus in particular on good old handicraft skills.
The Motorworld idea also regularly goes on tour, including to the annual classic car trade fairs Motorworld Classics Berlin and Motorworld Classics Bodensee in Friedrichshafen, to scene events such as the Motorworld Oldtimertage at Fürstenfeld (near Munich) as well as in numerous other guises.
The “IAA Heritage by Motorworld” rounds off the Motorworld Group’s event portfolio both regionally and thematically. Existing formats and locations thus mesh perfectly with one another. They all abide by the motto “Space for mobile passion”, interpreting it in many different facets.
