Kemptthal, June 4, 2019. With “The Valley”, a superlative place of work and encounters is currently under development on the former Maggi site in Kemptthal, which is situated between Zurich and Winterthur. At the heart of the revitalised area with its impressive history will be Motorworld Manufaktur Region Zürich – a centre for classics car and sports cars, which in future will encompass retail outlets, workshops and much more besides, all devoted to premium-quality and classic mobility, as well as an event location.
On June 15 and 16, the partners Mettler2Invest, Givaudan and the Motorworld Group will be inviting visitors to the Open Days at “The Valley”, when the companies located, among them Motorworld Region Zurich and Givaudan Schweiz AG, will open their doors to the public. The latter is the world’s largest manufacturer of fragrances and aromas, and on both days visitors will be able to take a look at its new Innovation Center from 1 to 5 p.m.
The supporting programme for the Open Days includes a classic car meet, various activities for children, as well as live music. Appearing on the Givaudan musical stage will be Irish Folk musicians and a flamenco group, while the top act on the Railway Carriage stage at 8 p.m. on the Saturday will be the pop band Baba Shrimps. The supporting band The Bullets will begin getting the audience into the right mood from 6.30 p.m. A street food festival with delicacies from all over the world will be providing culinary refreshments.
The Open Days will take place on the Saturday from 11 to 10 p.m., with an after-hour until midnight, and on Sunday from 11 to 8 p.m. Classic cars, super sports cars and bikes are warmly welcome!

The first tenants at Motorworld Manufaktur Region Zürich will be moving in at the end of 2019.
The site – the former Maggi works in Kemptthal – is just perfect for the Motorworld concept: historic industrial buildings paired with perfect transport links, and an ideal market potential. After all, Switzerland has the highest density of classic cars and supercars anywhere in the world.
An incomparable identification value can be found in a whole series of really attractive listed industrial buildings, which are ideally suited for the planned conversions, and lend the site an enchanting look with their historical charm. Last but not least, its excellent location creates perfect conditions for the project development. Situated between Zurich and Winterthur, the former Maggi plant with its own railway station and the two nearby motorway junctions offer ideal transport links.
Motorworld Region Zürich is part of “The Valley” business park, which is being developed by MA Kemptthal Besitz AG, a joint venture comprising the German Motorworld Group and Swiss project developer Mettler2Invest. The latter are specialists in their field with decades of experience, as well as high aspirations where quality and long-term value stability are concerned. The impressive listed buildings are being lavishly refurbished. Together with additional new buildings, which architecturally will fit in with the existing ones, the so-called “The Valley” park comprises 100,000 square meters of usable space for all kinds of businesses, start-ups, restaurants and events.

About the MOTORWORLD Group
The independent MOTORWORLD Group emerged from the DÜNKEL Holding corporate group based in Schemmerhofen (Baden-Württemberg, Germany). The origins of the family-run company go back to 1933. The Motorworld Group develops, builds and operates experience worlds that are dedicated to mobile passion.
The first location was Motorworld Region Stuttgart in Böblingen, which opened in 2009 and has since been expanded several times, winning several awards along the way. Further projects and activities under the MOTORWORLD® brand have been initiated in recent years. Following on with the same concept as Motorworld Region Stuttgart, Motorworld Köln | Rheinland opened in June 2018. Two further locations are currently under development: Motorworld München and Motorworld Zeche Ewald-Ruhr, Herten. The starting signal for the construction of Motorworld Mallorca is due to be given shortly.
The portfolio will be complemented by the Motorworld Manufaktur locations in Berlin, Metzingen, Rüsselsheim and Zurich. As their names suggest, the space for mobile passion at these locations will focus in particular on good old handicraft skills.
The Motorworld idea also regularly goes on tour, including to the annual classic car trade fairs Motorworld Classics Berlin and Motorworld Classics Bodensee in Friedrichshafen, to scene events such as the Motorworld Oldtimertage at Fürstenfeld (near Munich), as well as in numerous other guises.
The “IAA Heritage by Motorworld” rounds off the Motorworld Group’s event portfolio both regionally and thematically. Existing formats and locations thus mesh perfectly with one another. They all abide by the motto “Space for mobile passion”, interpreting it in many different facets.
